Availability

Hoogstraten® strawberries are available almost all year round, starting from mid-March onwards with crops from heated greenhouses. during the month of May those strawberries that were grown under plastic tunnels are bought to market, while the June-bearing strawberries are grown in the open field. The months of June and July constitute the main season with the biggest supply. Our growers can now offer fresh strawberries until the year-end using modern cultivation techniques. This delayed production which runs until the beginning of the frost period is also possible due to the planting of cold-stored strawberry plants. The season then closes around the year-end with strawberries that are produced in heated greenhouses.
