Sjaak Bakker has a PhD in Horticultural Sciences from the Wageningen University. Since 1982 he is involved in research on energy conservative greenhouses and the greenhouse environment - crop response interactions. Since 2006 he is manager of the Business Unit Wageningen UR Greenhouse Horticulture and member of the Dutch Energy Transition Group for Greenhouse Horticulture. He has published almost 200 reports and papers in national and international journals. Currently he leads a limited number of projects on closed- and energy conservative greenhouses including the new Innovation and Demonstration Centre "Greenhouse as Energy Source" at the location of Wageningen UR in Bleiswijk. |
